At Home Bank, we believe it’s better to give than receive. In 2012, our board of directors established a gifting program to support our community. Through that program we allocate 10% of the bank’s profits to support worthwhile projects addressing the greatest needs in the communities we serve. Our belief is that the success of a community is dependent upon the well-being of its members. From the beginning, our mission has been to make a significant impact, positively affecting the lives of individuals and families. We have also encouraged others in the community to think like-mindedly and join us in this effort.
Who is eligible?
Any non-profit organization working to support individuals in Morgan, Johnson, or Hendricks County may be considered for a gift.
How are the recipient organizations chosen?
Our selection process involves identifying those organizations which are having a positive impact upon quality of life in our community. We prioritize initiatives that introduce new programming, increase capacity, and/or expand existing endeavors. Our intention is to assist organizations in taking critical steps that will lead to long-term growth and positive change.
When and how often do you choose an organization to receive a gift?
Our committee meets monthly to consider requests and identify known needs within the counties we serve. We take a proactive approach, seeking out opportunities to make a difference. Additionally, we encourage employees and members of our gifting committee to bring forward any needs of which they are aware, ensuring we remain connected to the community.
Do all Home Bank locations participate in this program?
Our philanthropic efforts extend to Morgan, Johnson, and Hendricks Counties. To ensure diverse perspectives, our committee is comprised of employees from various areas of the bank, including retail, lending, and operations. This collaborative approach allows us to make well-informed decisions and maximize our impact.
